The BEST organizations I have worked for have done 2 maybe 3 of those. Many seems to view the process as ramp-by-osmosis. Great tips!
These are great tips!
Another idea is assign a 'mentor' to the new hire. Whether this is a person's official role or a peer, having someone that is not their direct supervisor to ask the "how to's" for their new company can make or break them starting off on the right foot!
Great tips. I have a new hire itenery planned out for their first 3 days. In those days, they sit with all of the departments in the company for an overview. Customer support, marketing, channel partners, etc. This gives them a corporate overview that helps sell the value of the company as well as the value of the service/product they are selling.
