Bridge Group Supports New York Non-Profit NYCRx

Posted by Matt Bertuzzi on Tue, Mar 29, 2011

Hudson, Mass. - March 29,2011 - The Bridge Group, Inc. today announced a volunteer, no-fee Salesforce.com project with NYCRx, a New York City based non-profit organization that partners with local safety net providers to bring lower cost drugs to their patients.

In February 2010, The Bridge Group adopted a 1/1/1 approach for integrated philanthropy based on the Salesforce.com model. The current project involves customizing NYCRx's Salesforce.com system to support their service delivery model and is estimated to save the non-profit $24,000.

"I take our 1/1/1 philanthropic commitment very seriously and the 'skills' donation has often been the most difficult to complete," said The Bridge Group's Matt Bertuzzi. "Thanks to Catchafire's skill-based volunteering and with the help of Rebecca Dente, my partner on this project, we hope to support NYCRx's important work and their plans for future scaling."

Rebecca Dente, Senior Business Analyst at Iron Mountain, commented, "I've always admired Salesforce.com's corporate philanthropy philosophy, and have looked for a way to give back in a similar manner. Discovering Catchafire and being matched with NYCRx has been great. I hope this is the first of many volunteer projects that Matt & I work on."
